Where the Y Series Fits

The Y Series is a plastic tube variable-area flow meter for direct-reading low liquid flows. Its body is made of polycarbonate (PC) or polysulfone (PSU), and because the float moves under spring compression the meter can be installed at any angle.
It is a separate series from the LZS plastic tube rotameters: the Y Series has its own Y-60xx model codes, a PC or PSU body and a spring-loaded float, with ranges given in GPM and LPM.

Construction and Specifications

Working pressure is up to 1 MPa. The working temperature range is 0-80 °C for the polycarbonate body and 0-120 °C for the polysulfone body, and accuracy is ±6%.
Water ranges at 20 °C run from 0.5-5 GPM (2-20 LPM) on the Y-6005 up to 10-100 GPM (40-380 LPM) on the Y-6100. Interface threads cover ZG/G1/2 in, G3/4 in and G1 in on the smaller models and ZG/G1-1/2 in or G2 in with a 2 in plastic-tube barb on the larger models.
Interface material may be brass, stainless steel, PP or PVC; the catalog lists stainless steel as the default interface material. A red flow scale card aids reading.
