Where the Alarm-Switch Rotameter Fits

This variable-area meter adds an alarm limit switch to the acrylic rotameter, for local flow indication together with an upper and/or lower limit signal. It is used where equipment needs a contact output when flow leaves a set band.
The switch is offered for the LZT, LZS and LZB series. It mounts on the meter's dovetail rail and the alarm set point can be positioned anywhere between minimum, middle and maximum flow.

Switch Operation and Specifications

The switch uses a magnetic-reed bistable (latching) mechanism: the contact closes when the magnetic float reaches the set limit and stays closed while beyond it, opening when the float returns past the set position. Upper-limit and lower-limit alarm positions are both supported.
Switch ratings: insulation resistance >10^9 Ω; working voltage max DC24V/AC24V; working current max 0.3 A; switching constant current max DC0.1 A; break-through power max 1 VA; forward resistance <200 Ω; hysteresis 4 mm; protection IP65; switch working temperature 0 to +55 °C; switch card outline 45x20x45 mm.

Ordering Guidance

Confirm the base meter series, size and flow range, the required alarm positions (upper, lower or both), and the relay or PLC input the contact will drive.
